Release Notes

Comsite Simply Classified v1.00.12 - STABLE - Tested against DotNetNuke v4.9.5 and v5.2.x
Bug Fixes/Enhancements:
  • BUGFIX: Resolved issues with 1.00.05.SqlDataProvider install error on clean/upgrade installs
  • BUGFIX: Post New Ad returns exception.
  • BUGFIX: Ad Status for users requiring validation is properly disabled in ad edit page.
  • BUGFIX: Email Notifications for 'anonymous' users returns exception.
  • BUGFIX: Portal Administrators cannot edit ads - only Host Administrators.
  • BUGFIX: Roles that require validation for ad approval: When user edits an approved ad it is now resubmitted for validation.
  • BUGFIX: ISearchable / RSS implementation now only indexes ALL Ads (including unapproved/inActive) - now only indexes Active (approved) ads.
  • ENHANCEMENT: Templates now include more use of "Edit" links for roles with "Edit Rights" to an ad.
  • ENHANCEMENT: Inclusion of DNN Core Edit permission now has ability to edit ads.
  • ENHANCEMENT: Email Templates are now in a seperate language resource file to support future email notification enhancements.

Current Mitigating Issues:
  • In DotNetNuke versions 5.x and up - the new 'DENY' permission is ignored by the module. To 'deny' rights, CLEAR the permission box completely.
  • Anonymous ad posters cannot go back and edit ads. Once the ad is posted, it is only modifiable by a user possessing edit or validate rights.
  • Uploading images to 'non-saved' ads may result in no saving of ad and no saving of images. This is an issue for 'anonymous' posters, as they cannot edit ads once submitted. Improvement or enhancement scheduled for v1.00.14 release package.
  • Language Resource Files are in US-English. Localization is partially supported but not included. You must create your own language files for your additional languages.
