Locked Ad Status DropDown

description

The Ad Status drop-down is not modifiable after behavior change in 1.00.12 - users who possess validate rights, edit rights, or administrator rights should have ability to change ad status at any time.

I made a quick change to the Status DropDown - if you wish, test this DLL on your installation - it appears to have resolved the issue on my end, but not 100% sure yet. Also, may want to verify that it is still disabled when it be for un-approved users working with ads, vs. approved 'normal users' working with ads, etc. I believe I need to re-evaluate the whole status enabled process because it's turning into a round-robin in the source code, and there really should be a simpler way.

IMO, it should check to see if the editor is the owner of the ad or not first - if so, check if the owner has permission to change the status - if not, keep it locked. Then it should have an override to check if the user viewing the ad is an editor or validator, and unlock it again at that point. All in background before the control is displayed on page.

PS, if you aren't able to download the DLL from THIS comment - let me know and I will move it to the Source Code Patches area. Not sure if users can download files directly from the Issue Tracker or just developers. Thanks!
